Antisymmetric

A relation R on a set A is antisymmetric if, for all x, y is an element of A if x R y and y R x then x=y.

Example:
Consider the relation less than or equal ( < = ) to on the real numbers. It is antisymmetric if x < = y and y < = x, so y = x
